India celebrated Republic Day last Thursday, a holiday that is often associated with big discounts from retailers and brands. Xiaomi did well to announce that it sold over 1 million products during the sale.

The so-called Republic Day Sale actually lasted for several days, from January 16 to 20, and spans various categories – Xiaomi makes everything from headphones to smart TVs. The company doesn’t disclose which products sell best, but we can take a guess.

The Redmi Note 12 series continues to enjoy high demand, selling over ₹5 billion worth of phones in less than two weeks since its launch (January 11-23). This is up from the ₹3 billion reported in the first week of availability.
