Twitter Blue’s new subscription service is constantly adding new features, and the latest ones have already been promised in the past. We’re talking about giving Twitter Blue subscribers’ tweets priority in conversations and allowing them to upload videos that are up to an hour long.

Longer videos can currently be uploaded from the web and can be up to 1080p resolution and 2GB file size. Prior to this change, Twitter Blue subscribers could upload videos up to ten minutes long in 1080p resolution, with the file size limited to a maximum of 512MB. For now, this limit still applies if you’re uploading from the Twitter Android and iOS apps.
When it comes to conversations, Twitter says users will see a “slight preference for replies from Blue verified accounts over other replies.” In plain English – those with blue subscriptions (or those who were verified using the old system before Elon Musk took over) will have the highest responses to any conversation.
More features will likely come to Twitter Blue in the future so that people decide to spend $8 a month (or $11 if you sign up from iOS) on the service to make it more attractive. As of now, the blue verification badge is undoubtedly still the main draw – we’ll have to wait and see how much longer it can increase Twitter Blue’s subscriber count.
