Last month, Volvo unveiled the EX90 – its flagship electric SUV. Originally it was only supposed to come with three rows and a dual engine, but now we’re hearing that a cheaper version could be on the way.

Javier Varela, COO and Deputy CEO of Volvo, revealed that it is possible to remove the seats from the EX90 platform. He also mentioned that if the company decides to move forward with a single engine version of the EX90, only the rear wheels will be powered by the engine. And those plans sound a little too concrete to be pure executive branch speculation.
On the other end of the spectrum, Volvo is considering creating a performance EX90 model that would beat the top version currently available (517 horsepower and 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds).
