Apple is reportedly working on an upcoming MacBook Air with a larger 15.5-inch display. The company plans to put a larger display with a notch in its recently updated entry-level MacBook Air premium laptop. According to analyst Ross Young, the new 15.5-inch MacBook Air is expected to arrive during the spring of 2023, as production of the larger display panels is set to begin in the first quarter of 2023. The leak overrides previous leaks that expected the new MacBook Air to come with a larger 15.2-inch display.

15.5-inch MacBook Air Coming This Spring?
Apple could be developing a larger 15.5-inch MacBook Air to replace the current 15-inch model. Analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) has revealed new information that suggests production of the larger display should begin in the first quarter of 2023. The 15.5-inch MacBook Air could slot in between the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, making it the largest MacBook Air model to date. The device will sit on top of the current MacBook Air model, which has a 13.6-inch screen size. Young previously hinted that the MacBook Air would get a larger 15-inch model with a 15.2-inch display panel. The new model is expected to carry an industrial design and a notched display. It also gets a MagSafe charging port, larger speaker drivers, a 1080p camera and Type-C ports.
The 15.5-inch MacBook Air is also expected to be powered by Apple’s M2 or M2 Pro silicon. However, Apple will reserve the mini LED display for its ‘Pro’ models.
