Micro-blogging site Twitter has decided to increase the price of its Twitter Blue subscription for iPhone users to $11 (nearly Rs 900) per month to offset tech giant Apple’s 30 percent tax on payments. The same service on the website will cost $7 (approx. Rs. 575) per month. The Information reported that the action was likely an attempt to protest a 30 percent cut in user payments made by users through apps on the iOS operating system.

To encourage more users to register on the site instead of on their smartphones, the site’s prices have been reduced. However, the report does not mention whether the pricing will change for the Android platform or not.
Twitter Blue Relaunch Date
Since November 11, Twitter Blue has been unavailable and its relaunch has been delayed several times. However, the relaunch of Twitter Blue services is now expected to resume this Friday. Earlier, Musk said that the service will be relaunched on December 2nd. Twitter’s boss has suspended Twitter Blue subscriptions after it added a verification tick that allowed anyone with said fees to impersonate businesses, celebrities and other high-profile figures.
