The Xiaomi 13 launch date has been officially revealed by the company, days after it was revealed through alleged screenshots of the Mi Store app. The phones will now debut on December 11 at 7:00 PM IST. The event was originally scheduled to take place on December 1, but was delayed due to the sudden death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin. The lineup reportedly includes the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro; Both are expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC.

The preview image shows that the Xiaomi 13 will have a boxy design similar to iPhones, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a curved display with rounded edges. Both phones have a rectangular module on the back to house the triple camera sensors.

Specifications of Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro

Xiaomi 13: The Xiaomi 13 is expected to come with a 6.2-inch 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, punch notch, HDR10+, DC Dimming and flat edges. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC coupled with Adreno GPU graphics. The chipset will be paired with an Adreno GPU for graphics, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Xiaomi 13 will run on a customized MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13 out of the box.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 13 is expected to have triple cameras on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS and LED flash, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a macro unit. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone is expected to pack a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

Xiaomi 13 Pro: The Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to have a slightly larger screen with curved edges, a 120Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole notch and HDR10+. The phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will flash a custom MIUI 14 skin out of the box. The phone is expected to pack a 4,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging and support for wireless charging.

In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls.
